Oggi parliamo di bimbi…in particolare di due collezioni che sono tra le mie preferite: quelle di Junior Gaultier e Kenzo Kids. La collezione Spring Summer 2014 di Junior Gaultier rende omaggio alla Francia ispirandosi ai tre colori della bandiera. Abiti girocollo in jersey con righe bianche e blu navy che si ribellano prendendo direzioni diverse, diventando non convenzionali, un po’ come lo spirito irriverente del designer. Kenzo Kids riflette una creatività istintiva e coraggiosa, riproponendo con audacia i codici stilistici del brand per dare vita ad una collezione cha fa viaggiare verso terre lontane. La tigre, disegnata da Takada quando era bambino, rimane un elemento chiave di questa stagione, per far ruggire T-shirt, felpe, polo-camicie in piqué di cotone e bermuda realizzate in un’ampia palette di colori che va dai più tenui ai più brillanti. Ma la scuola è finita e la vita da spiaggia non aspetta altro che i bambini e i loro costumi, gli indumenti più comodi da indossare. Vi lascio in compagnia di un assaggio di entrambe le collezioni…

Today we’re talking about kids…in particular about two of my favourite collections: Junior Gaultier and Kenzo Kids. The Spring Summer 2014 collection by Junior Gaultier pays tribute to France and is inspired by the three colours of the French flag. Round-neck jersey dresses with white and navy blue stripes that rebel against tradition and take different directions, irreverent like the spirit of the designer. Kenzo Kids expresses an instinctive and brave creativity, offering the same style symbols of the brand to create a collection that makes your mind travel far away. The tiger, designed by Takada himself when he was a child, remains the key-element for this season too, roaming on T-shirts, sweaters, polo shirts in cotton piqué and Bermuda shorts in a broad range of delicate and marked hues. School is finished and the sea and the beach are awaiting children and their swimming costumes, the most comfortable clothes to wear. I leave you with a teaser of the two collections…
