La mia avventura in compagnia di adidas e Vanity Fair si è conclusa e, come da pronostico, mi dispiace un sacco. Se siete curiosi di conoscere i dettagli della maratona attraverso il nostro racconto, ecco il post pubblicato oggi da Vanity Fair. Questo invece è il mio e voglio ringraziare tutti coloro che hanno reso incredibile questa esperienza. Comincio dalla redazione, in particolare da Gaia che mi ha guidato meglio di un navigatore satellitare; adidas per avermi dato la possibilità di vivere una grande emozione. Massimo Messina, il medico di adidas, che avrebbe voluto uccidermi dopo aver saputo che sono vegetariana da vent’anni, ma che mi ha supportato moralmente fino a pochi minuti prima dell’inizio della gara. Chiara Travisi di Yoga Studio Milano – nonostante io abbia qualche difficoltà a parlare yoghese, ho comunque capito che è una disciplina che può offrirmi parecchi benefici. Ringrazio le mie compagne di squadra: Alice Cerea, Laura Grampa, Juliane Borges e Jessica Neumann con cui ho instaurato un bellissimo rapporto. Il mio amico Luca per avermi accompagnato durante i primi allenamenti, prestandosi pure come fotografo all’occorrenza. Ringrazio tutta l’organizzazione della Relay Marathon – i tassisti di Milano non saranno dello stesso parere, ma pazienza; Ringrazio le persone che erano presenti lungo il percorso e che mi hanno incitato a proseguire – in particolare la bambina vestita di rosa sulle spalle del suo papà – e Matteo che mi ha raggiunto alla festa di premiazione. Ringrazio i ragazzi di Runbase che oltre ad offrire la loro professionalità si sono rivelati a dir poco straordinari. In particolare: Federico, il primo di loro che ho conosciuto, Filippo, che ha catturato alcuni dei miei momenti sotto sforzo durante la gara e per finire Gianluca, il mio coach ufficiale, che ha preso a cuore il mio caso disperato 🙂 . È grazie a lui se ho corso con un marsupio in cui infilare l’iPhone e usufruire della mia musica; è grazie a lui se ora so che quell’affarino attaccato al filo delle cuffie serve a cambiare l’ordine delle canzoni ed è grazie a lui che ho capito che lo sport va a cercare la paura per dominarla, la fatica per trionfarne, la difficoltà per vincerla. – Non credo che sia una frase sua, ma è sulla sua immagine di copertina di Facebook e secondo me è perfetta per chiudere. Ci vediamo l’anno prossimo? Mi piacerebbe davvero! Grazie ancora di cuore <3!
My adventure with adidas and Vanity Fair is over and, as expected, I feel so sorry… If you are willing to find out all the details of the marathon through our tale, this is the article posted today by Vanity Fair. This is mine and I would like to thank all those who have made this experience unforgettable. I will start with the press office, in particular with Gaia who has guided me as one of the best satellite navigator ever; adidas for having given me the chance to live a great emotion. Massimo Messina, adidas doctor, who nearly killed me after finding out I have been a vegetarian 20 years now, but who has given me moral support till the very beginning of the race. Chiara Travisi of Yoga Studio Milano – although I have a few problems speaking yogis, I could eventually understand that it is a discipline that can offer me lots of benefits. Many thanks go to my team mates too: Alice Cerea, Laura Grampa, Juliane Borges and Jessica Neumann with whom I have begun a very good relationship. To my friend Luca for having accompanied me during my first training sessions, volunteering as photographer when necessary. Thanks to the whole organization Relay Marathon – Milan taxi drivers won’t share my opinion, but never mind; Thanks to the people there along the route, that have impelled me to go on – special thanks go to the girl dressed in pink on her daddy’s shoulders – and to Matteo who has joined me at the prize-giving ceremony. Thanks to all the guys of Runbase that in addition to offering their professionality have proven to be more than something extraordinary. In particular: Federico, the first of the lads that I met, Filippo, that has captured a few shots of my most under strain moments during the run and last but not least to Gianluca, my official coach that has taken to heart my desperate case 🙂 . It is thanks to him that now I have a waist-bag where to stuff my iPhone and enjoy my music, it’s thanks to him if that little thing on my earphones helps me changing the songs playlist order and it’s thanks to him that I have understood that sport goes in search for fear to dominate it, effort to triumph on it and troubles to win it over. – I doubt that this quote is his… but it’s on his Facebook profile and I think it’s perfect to finish my story with. Shall we meet again next year? I’d love to! Thanks again from the bottom of my heart <3!
