No…tranquilli…Non voglio vendervi il tutorial di Louis Vuitton che già conoscete…bellissimo eh, per carità, ma se paragono Blade Runner a questo video, non so dire quale dei due meglio rappresenta l’essenza della fantascienza, la mia valigia così facilmente non si è chiusa MAI! Lacrime e sangue vengono versati ogni volta che cerco di rendere giustizia a Elias Howe, inventore della cerniera lampo, nel tentativo di chiudere il mio bagaglio, comprimendolo a tal punto da farlo sembrare un boa constrinctor dopo aver mangiato. E poi, quelle combinazioni perfettamente piegate e pronte per essere inserite a regola d’arte in valigia, sul letto, come ci sono finite? Già, perché il bello della diretta è quello che viene prima: decidere cosa portare per il viaggio in questione. TUTTO QUELLO CHE VI OCCORRE? Assolutamente no, quando per l’adulto giunge il momento di preparare il bagaglio, impara due concetti fondamentali: 1. La vita è fatta di scelte 2. La selezione naturale di Darwin non riguarda solo le specie animali, ma anche il guardaroba. Le mie regole? A me sembrano più dolorosi compromessi, ma i consigli che posso darvi sono: A. Controllate le previsioni meteo B. Decidete quante mise vi occorrono per la trasferta C. Se avete poco spazio a disposizione, cercate di decidere le stesse in base agli accessori di punta che ritenete indispensabile portare con voi. D. Il bagaglio a mano è la vostra cassetta di sicurezza, indossate una borsa molto capiente in cui inserire gli accessori preziosi che porterete con voi sull’aereo, se dovessero perdervi il bagaglio, almeno quelli li avrete salvati e vi faranno sentire meno nude di come in realtà siete. E. Solo dopo aver preparato l’occorrente sul letto e aver riguardato 10 volte il video di cui sopra, potete inserire il tutto all’interno della valigia. F. Chiamate in camera da letto qualcuno, se è di grossa corporatura è meglio, e chiedetegli di sedersi sulla stessa. G. Inserite nel bagaglio a mano un kit per la manicure…sono certa che, nonostante la buona volontà, se siete arrivate fino a qui e siete riuscite a chiudere la cerniera, le unghie avranno bisogno di una ristrutturazione. Don’t worry…I do not want to “sell” you the tutorial by Louis Vuitton that you already know…gorgeous but if I compare Blade Runner and this video, I don’t know which of the two represents the essence of sci-fi at best, I have NEVER EVER managed to close my suitcase so easily! Rivers of tears flow every time I try to pay my tribute Elias Howe, the inventor of zip in the trial to close my luggage, pressing it so much as to make it appear a boa constrictor after lunch. And then, those combinations, perfectly folded and ready to find their ideal place in the suitcase, how comes that they are on the bed? Yes, as the best comes before: deciding what to bring and what not. EVERYTHING THAT YOU NEED? Absolutely no, when it’s time for adult to prepare their luggage this means they have learned two basic principles: 1. Life means choosing 2. Darwin’s evolution theory does not only apply to animal species but to clothes too. My rules? They sound like compromise to me but here are the suggestions I can give you: A. Check the weather forecast B. Decide how many outfits you need for your stay C. If you have little space at your disposal, try to decide your outfits starting from must-have accessories D. Hand-luggage is your safety box, bring a large bag with you so that you can put in it all your precious accessories and if your luggage should get lost, at least you would have saved these pieces and you’ll feel less disappointed. E. Only after having prepared all your clothes and put them on the bed and after having watched this video 10 times, try and start packing. F. Call someone, better if plump and bulky, to sit on your suitcase. G. put a manicure-kit in your hand-luggage….I’m sure that, despite your good will and effort, your nails will be a disaster after packing. Enjoy your journey and see you in London ;-)!
