“Singing with the rain” è il nome della nuova collezione di Benedetta Bruzziches per il prossimo autunno inverno. A darle l’ispirazione è uno dei suoi viaggi che ha toccato più tappe: Bolivia, Cile, Argentina. Un’avventura alla scoperta di diverse culture, di diverse figure femminili devote a Pachamama, la dea della terra e della fertilità, ed è la stessa Natura Divina a fare un incantesimo sulle Carmen di Benedetta, che si ricoprono di fiori, foglie, funghi magici, fenicotteri, strane zucche e amanti ballerini che raccontano la loro storia di borsa in borsa… nelle pochette lenticolari, novità assoluta della collezione, nelle minaudiere e nei cabaret, che si riempiono di gemme colorate e si tingono di una vibrante gioia mistica. Ma le borse di questa giovane e audace designer non si accontentano di essere solo fashion… vogliono di più…ecco perché sono nati “I Diari della Borsa”. “Una donna, una borsa e un viaggio. Nella borsa la mia indipendenza, il diario, il passaporto, i soldi, il telefono, le matite colorate, gli indirizzi e i gessi. Una borsa testimone che rimetto senza paura nelle mani di chi incontro in cambio di una storia, una parola, un sogno o un sorriso. Una borsa che accorcia le distanze e che diventa una dichiarazione di sincerità. Quando sono partita per Cuba non sapevo che sarebbe successo tutto questo, è nato tutto lì, dal confronto con la gente che ho incontrato. Sono rientrata in Italia, ma il libro lavagna è rimasto lì, ho passato il testimone ad una ragazza Uruguayana di 24 anni che continua il suo viaggio di un anno in giro per l’America, che continuerà a raccogliere testimonianze e che, prima o poi, passerà il testimone ad un nuovo viaggiatore, amante della gente.” Solo una borsa o molto di più? Sicuramente un messaggio…o forse una formula magica… quella scritta sulla scatola di ogni sua creazione: “IF YOU CAN DREAM IT YOU CAN BECOME IT” e io voglio crederci :-)!
“Singing with the rain” is the name of the new collection by Benedetta Bruzziches for next fall winter. The inspiration is a journey she made in Bolivia, Chile and Argentina. An adventure at the discovery of different cultures, of different women figures devoted to Pachamama, the goddess of earth and fertility, and it’s this Divine Nature that enchants Benedetta’s Carmens, who are covered with flowers, leaves, magic mushrooms and flamingos, pumpkins and dancing lovers who tell their story from bag to bag… in lenticular pochettes, a new product of the collection, in minaudieres and cabarets, which are filled with coloured gemstones and tinged with a vibrant, mystical joy. But the bags created by this young and audacious designers do not want to be only fashionable… they want more…that’s why the “Diaries of the Bag” have come to life. “a woman, a bag and a journey. In my bag there’s my independence, my diary, passport, money, my mobile, coloured pencils, addresses and chalks. A bag that is a testament to myself and that I put back in the hands of those I meet, In return for a tale, a word, a dream or a smile. A bag able to shorten distances and that is a declaration of frankness. When I left for Cuba I didn’t have a clue of what it would have happened, everything started there, from the meeting with the people I met. I came back to Italy, but my board book stayed there, I passed the baton to a 24 year old girl from Uruguay travelling around America for a year, who will continue to gather stories and who, one day, will pass the baton to a new traveller, someone who loves the people.” Is it only a bag or something more? For sure, it’s a message…or a magic formula… written on the box of every single creation: “IF YOU CAN DREAM IT YOU CAN BECOME IT” and I want to believe it :-)!
