My black friday with Fay!

Black friday…Mi chiedo: per quale ragione la giornata con cui ha inizio lo shopping natalizio, in cui è possibile fare affari d’oro, deve essere etichettata con un colore tanto spento? Così, documentandomi, ho scoperto che il colore a cui è associato questo atteso venerdì è nero per due ragioni. 1.Perché tutte le persone che si mobilitano in cerca di grandi sconti provocano un traffico stradale tremendo. 2. Perché i libri contabili dei commercianti passano dal rosso delle perdite al nero dei guadagni, è l’inizio del periodo più proficuo, capace di riportare la contabilità dei negozi in attivo. E questa volta anch’io ho contribuito a dare una mano all’economia americana…Il mio è stato un vero DARK friday ;-)!!! In compagnia del mio secondo look di FAY, composto da un elegante cappotto Virginia in lana diagonale con dettagli d’ispirazione maschile, profili in tessuto regimental e tipici ganci a chiusura in metallo dorato, abbinato all’accessorio protagonista della collezione: la piccola e lussuosa Postman in tartan e vernice, ho trascorso la giornata dedicandomi allo shopping. La Quinta, il Village, Soho, sono entrata in ogni singolo negozio, anche solo per dare un’occhiata, vi segnalo un paio di boutique vintage che meritano: INA e RESURRECTION. Invece, tra Houston St e Bleecker St, zona Noho, c’è l’eccentrico shop di PATRICIA FIELD, la stylist di Sex and the City…non aspettatevi di trovare pezzi che richiamano lo stile della fortunata serie, ma se siete in cerca di qualcosa dal sapore più fetish…beh, ecco, qui siete assolutamente nel posto giusto!!! Una merenda deliziosa potete farla da LITTLE CUPCAKE BAKESHOP, al 30 di Prince Street, tutto ciò che si mangia viene fatto al momento davanti ai vostri occhi. Lunga e intensa la mia seconda giornata a New York…non mi era mai successo di stare a zonzo per così tanto tempo, quasi nove ore per l’esattezza, dovrebbero darmi una medaglia per la dedizione ;-)! Inutile dirvi che, oltre alle scarpe di riserva che avevo portato con me, ora mi servono anche un paio di piedi nuovi, spero di trovarli alla svelta per sfoggiare le mie prime Manolo Blahnik comprate a un prezzo ottimo da SAKS :-)!

Black Friday…I wonder…why should the day when Christmas shopping spree starts, the day on which you can make good bargains, be called using such a dark colour? So, I took some information about it and I found out that the colour associated with this Friday is black for two reasons. 1.Because all the people who move around the city looking for bargains are stuck in the traffic. 2. Because the financial statements of shop-keepers go from red to the black, it’s the start of the profitable season, able to relief shops from the losses of previous months. And this time I’ve had the occasion to give my personal contribution to the American economy…mine has been a really DARK Friday ;-)!!! I and my second outfit designed by FAY, including the elegant Virginia coat in diagonal wool with man-style details, regimental profiles and the typical golden metal hooks and the protagonist accessory of the collection: the small and luxury Postman in tartan and patent leather, have spent the day going shopping. The Fifth, the Village, Soho, I got into every single corner to have a look and I can tell you about some vintage shops that are really cool: INA and RESURRECTION. While, between Houston St and Bleecker St, Noho area, there’s the eccentric shop by PATRICIA FIELD, Sex and the City stylist…you don’t have to expect to find pieces recalling Carrie and the girls but if you’re looking for some fetish touch…well, you’re in the right place!!! A delicious break at the LITTLE CUPCAKE BAKESHOP, at 30 Prince Street, all that you eat is ready made before your eyes. Long and exciting, my second day in New York….it has never happened to me to spend so much time strolling around, almost nine hours, I should be given a medal for my dedication;-)! Pointless to say that, apart from a pair of comfortable shoes I had with me, now I also need new feet, I hope to find them soon as I must wear my first Manolo Blahnik, a real bargain at SAKS :-)!
