Il rapimento di oltre 200 studentesse nigeriane ad opera di Boko Haram, l’organizzazione terroristica jihadista, ha acceso gli animi dei cittadini di tutto il mondo, che hanno fatto di un appello per liberarle, una vera e propria campagna: #BringBackOurGirls a cui hanno aderito Michelle Obama , Malala Yousufzai, giovane attivista pachistana, Hillary Clinton, Angelina Jolie, Mary J. Blige, Chris Brown. #BringBackOurGirls  ha ricevuto anche il sostegno di Unicef e Amnesty International. La situazione è drammatica, Abubakar Shekau, il capo di questi ribelli, ha sequestrato le 223 ragazze perchè “l’educazione occidentale deve cessare” e perché “devono lasciare la scuola ed essere date in sposa”, minacciando di venderle in nome di Allah. In Nigeria è già arrivato un team di esperti americani che aiuterà le autorità locali a cercare le studentesse rapite e farà tutto il possibile per farle tornare dalle loro famiglie. Il sequestro che dura già da un mese, fa pensare che il gruppo terroristico le abbia divise in piccoli gruppi e spostate in paesi vicini per far perdere le loro tracce. Le ricerche dunque non si fermeranno e riguarderanno anche Niger, Ciad e Camerun. Il nostro tweet certo non aiuterà concretamente le forze che si stanno muovendo per il ritrovamento, ma è un modo per tenere alta l’attenzione su questo grave episodio e coinvolgere chiunque possa fornire informazioni per ritrovare queste ragazze, prima che vengano disperse per l’Africa.

The kidnapping of more than 200 Nigerian girls by Boko Haram, the Jihad terroristic organisation, inflamed the feeling of people across the globe, who organised a veritable campaign for these girls: #BringBackOurGirls, a campaign that has seen the participation of Michelle Obama, Malala Yousufzai, the young Pakistan activist, Hillary Clinton, Angelina Jolie, Mary J. Blige, Chris Brown. #BringBackOurGirls  has also received support from Unicef and Amnesty International. The situation is really horrible, Abubakar Shekau,  the chief of rebels, kidnapped the 223 girls because the “Western-style educational method must stop” and because “they must leave school and get married”, also threatening to sell them as slaves in the name of Allah. A team of American experts has already come to Nigeria and they will help local authorities to find the girls and do everything possible to set them free and bring them back to their families. The girls were kidnapped a month ago and this probably implies that the terroristic team has already moved them and put them in groups to make lose their trace. The search for the girls will also involve Niger, Ciad and Camerun. Our tweet won’t probably help the search operation but it’s a way to keep an eye wide open on this issue and involve anyone who can have important information to find these girls and bring them back before it’s too late.
