E invece non ne sono per niente convinta! E’ davvero l’ambiente in cui ci si trova a determinare uno stile o è lo stile personale che si adatta all’ambiente? Credo esistano delle regole di buongusto che ci portano a rispettare la cultura di un popolo, le sue abitudini, i suoi costumi, la sua “bandiera”, ma quando si possiede un proprio stile e una propria personalità, si possiede anche una propria bandiera ed è la sola che vogliamo vedere appesa all’asta, qualunque sia la parte del mondo in cui ci troviamo. È la prima cosa che mettiamo in valigia o, per meglio dire, è lei stessa che la prepara. Lo stile è davvero un modo di essere che sente l’influenza del tempo, dell’umore, dell’ormone. Ci vestiamo così perchè ci sentiamo così e non perchè ci troviamo qui o là. Il senso di stile è così ampio da non poter essere circoscritto nello spazio limitato di un luogo che si visita. E’così pieno di sfumature da abbracciare tutte le lingue e i dialetti del mondo, così internazionale da poter essere espresso anche solo con un gesto a cui si risponde con uno sguardo, con un’occhiata…che a volte vale più di mille parole!

TELL ME WHERE YOU GO AND I’LL TELL YOU WHICH STYLE YOU NEED…No, I’m not sure at all! I should start from the beginning…and tell you how my mini-holiday in Saint Tropez is going, but yesterday, under my umbrella, sunbathing, that was what I was thinking of…and I wondered: is the place where we live influencing a style, or the style adapts to the place? I think there are good manners and rules that make you respect the culture of a place, its habits, its uses, its “flag”, but when you have your own style and your personality, then this is the only one we want to see hanging, regardless of the part of the world where we live. It’s the first thing we put in our luggage, better, it’s our style that dictates the pieces that we put in our luggage and we can’t help but contaminating a prefixed fashion trend with our personal style, either minimal or extravagant. Style is a way of being, feeling the influence of time, of our mood, of hormones, we dress in some way because we feel exactly that way and not because we live here or there….the sense of style is so broad that we can’t limit it to a specific place. It’s so full of shades and hues to embrace all languages in the world, so International to be expressed even with a gesture….and reply with a look, a smile…that sometimes counts more than a thousand words!
