E apre la sua prima boutique monomarca in Via Borgognona. Potrei scrivere il solito articolo professionale, limitandomi a una descrizione attenta e cercando, come sempre faccio, di nascondere l’affetto che ho per questo designer, ma non questa volta, perché il primo cuore in cui ha fatto breccia è stato il mio! Determinazione, tenacia, ambizione lo hanno portato ad essere, in breve tempo, uno degli stilisti più importanti nel panorama internazionale…ci risiamo…questo possono scriverlo tutti…io lo ammiro perché le caratteristiche elencate poco fa, le vedo nei suoi occhi ogni volta che lo incontro, quel carisma stellare di cui tanto si parla, lo riconosco in ogni suo sorriso, quella fantasia creativa, abbinata alla voglia di stupire, la ritrovo in ogni frase che pronuncia e se aggiungo il fatto di conoscerlo da un paio d’anni e di aver assistito in diretta al suo grande salto, non posso non ammettere che ciò che più amo di lui è quell’umiltà che fin dall’inizio mi ha colpito e che mai lo ha abbandonato. Due anni fa, prima di lasciare Milano, ero d’accordo di passare a salutarlo nel suo showroom in Via Mozart, lo chiamai e mi disse che stava arrivando anche Vogue America per un servizio, pensai non fosse il caso di disturbarlo…lui me lo disse soltanto per farmi entrare da un altro ingresso per riuscire a vedermi e salutarmi di persona. Oggi tutta la stampa internazionale non può fare a meno di lui, oggi Fausto è il direttore creativo di Ungaro, oggi è l’unico giovane stilista ad avere una boutique che porta solo il suo nome, oggi quello stesso Fausto mi ha voluto a Roma per la sua apertura…uno spazio su due piani dedicato alle donne che, come me, sono state conquistate dal suo stile unico.

I could write the same professional post, simply describing his style carefully as I always do and I could try to hide the affection I feel for this designer but not now, not today, as I’ve fallen in love with him at first sight! Determination, motivation and ambition have brought him to become, in short time, one of the most important designers in the world…here we are again…this could be written by anybody…I admire him as I can see the features listed above in his eyes, in his smiles, in his creative mind, that renowned starry charisma, I find it in every word he says and if I add that I’ve known him for two years and I’ve personally seen his talent growing, I can’t help but saying that I love his humility that has always characterized his character since the beginning. Two years ago, before leaving Milan, I agreed to pass by his showroom in Via Mozart to say good-bye, I called him and he told me that Vogue America’s staff was coming to for a shooting, I thought I had better not annoy him…but he said so only to make me in from another entrance and be able to personally greeting me. Add to this that today international press is talking about him, add the fact that Fausto is Ungaro’s creative director, add that he is the only young designer who has his own flagship store, add that today he wanted me there for the opening in Rome…a two store venue dedicated to women, lime me, who have conquered by his unique style.
