I speak Moschino very well ;-)!

Quando voglio che qualcuno mi dica le cose in modo chiaro, uso la frase: “parla come mangi“, ma quando si tratta di moda, di scegliere cosa indossare, allora mi viene da dire: “vesto come parlo”…decido cosa mettermi per esprimere il mio modo di essere, la mia personalità, il mio linguaggio stilistico. E’ un po’ come usare una lingua parlata, scegliere di essere classici è come parlare l’inglese, è internazionale, lo capiscono tutti, ma le combinazioni che posso sperimentare per raccontare le sfumature del mio stile sono infinite e sono tutt’altro che ordinarie! A volte mi sembra di parlare un dialetto stretto che pochi intendono, quelli che sono vicini alle mie abitudini, che vivono nella mia “zona”…il campo, inevitabilmente, si restringe parecchio! Tutto sommato non è poi così male…parlo come mangio, vesto come parlo e per esprimermi ho bisogno di mescolare tanti stili diversi per costruire il mio, comprensibile o incomprensibile che sia. Abiti e accessori sono parole con cui fare il mio discorso e a buon intenditor ne servono poche…come quelle della Tshirt di oggi, che chiudono una sfilata importante e aprono un nuovo capitolo della storia del marchio…forse MOSCHINO non lo capiscono tutti, ma c’è chi, invece, lo parla davvero molto bene ;-)!

When I want people to tell me straight up I use the expression: “speak the way you eat“, but when it’s about fashion, in terms of choosing what to wear, then I would say: “I talk the way I dress”…I wear what best describes my way of living, my personality, my stylistic marker. It’s like using a spoken language, choosing to be classical it’s like speaking English, it’s international, everybody understands it, but the combinations that can be tried to tell the shades of my style are endless and anything but ordinary. Sometimes I feel like I am speaking a weird dialect very few people understand, those who are accustomed to my habits, who live in “my area!”… the field narrows, inevitably, shrinking drastically! After all it’s not too bad…I speak the way I eat, I dress the way I talk and to express myself I need to mix many different styles together to build my own, whether it be understandable or not. Clothes and accessories are words I use to build my speech and…few words to the wise… Like those on today’s T-shirt closing a very important fashion parade, while writing a new chapter in the brand’s history…maybe MOSCHINO is not universally understood, but there are a few out there, who speak it really well ;-)!
