Anche i dittatori forse hanno un lato comico… se pensate al più terribile di tutti nella storia, Adolf Hitler, lui si ispirò proprio a Charlie Chaplin per il modo di tenere i baffi e lo fece proprio per risultare simpatico! Dopo “Il grande dittatore” che portò in scena una delle più belle commedie riguardanti il periodo nazi-fascista, ora è la volta di un tiranno dei giorni nostri e sarà proprio Sacha Baron Cohen, che ama i travestimenti, ad interpretarlo. Il film si basa sul romanzo di Saddam Hussein ” Zabibah and the King”, che racconta la storia d’amore tra un potente sovrano e una bella plebea, sposata ad un uomo violento e crudele, dove allegoricamente, il re rappresenta lo stato iracheno, il marito vizioso gli Stati Uniti d’America e lo stupro subito dalla donna l’invasione americana dell’Iraq e la guerra del Golfo. Sacha Baron Cohen, “The Dictator”, giunge in America in occasione di un meeting delle Nazioni Unite, per qualche strana ragione si perde e, rimasto solo a New York, incontra una ragazza, proprietaria di in negozio di alimentari biologici, che gli cambierà la vita… Ma le sorprese non finiscono qui, perché in patria, a sostituire le veci dell’oppressore assente, sarà un suo sosia, un povero pastore di pecore… Vi ricorda qualcosa? Forse quel modesto barbiere ebreo a cui dobbiamo rendere grazie per il più bel discorso all’umanità, nel film di cui prima vi parlavo…”Il grande Dittatore” di e con Charlie Chaplin.
