La campagna di raccolta fondi di LILA, Lega Italiana per la Lotta contro l’AIDS, è cominciata. Avete tempo fino al giorno 8 dicembre per dare una mano, inviando un messaggio da telefono mobile o fisso al numero 45505 e sostenere il Progetto Donna – Prevenzione al Femminile. L’Italia resta agli ultimi posti in Europa nell’uso del preservativo e del femidom, il profilattico femminile. In questo contesto a essere maggiormente a rischio sono proprio le donne, per una serie di fattori sociali, culturali, biologici ed è per questa ragione che LILA tenta di raccogliere più denaro possibile per informare e sensibilizzare le donne, creando linee telefoniche dedicate, sportelli di ascolto nelle sedi locali, produzione e diffusione di materiale informativo. Di tutti i casi di trasmissione dell’HIV, quelli attribuibili a trasmissione eterosessuale sono aumentati in Italia dall’1,7% del 1985 al 42,7% del 2012. Circa il 60 per cento delle persone che ricevono una diagnosi di HIV sono “late presenters“, ovvero hanno contratto l’infezione diverso tempo prima e presentano già uno stato di salute compromesso. Il rapporto sessuale non protetto è poco percepito come rischioso: il primo motivo dichiarato per cui le persone fanno il test HIV è infatti l’insorgenza di sintomi di patologie correlate al virus, e non l’aver avuto comportamenti a rischio. Possiamo fare qualcosa, con la testa, con il cuore, basta un SMS!
