Qualche settimana fa, Matteo e io abbiamo avuto il piacere di essere i protagonisti del nuovo lookbook di Seconda Base, il brand che seguiamo da sempre e di cui vi abbiamo parlato in più occasioni. E’ il 2012, quando con lo slogan “Vestire la tecnologia“, il marchio si presenta al mondo della moda. L’idea: creare un “abito su misura” utilizzando una verniciatura professionale, resistente a graffi e urti, per personalizzare computer, cuffie, amplificatori portatili, tutti gli accessori moderni che fanno ormai parte della nostra quotidianità. Poi sono arrivate le cover per iPhone e iPad, curate nei minimi dettagli e rigorosamente made in Italy, che hanno contribuito ad aumentare la sua notorietà. Diverse collaborazioni importanti, tra cui quella che dà vita a una capsule di soli 40 pezzi, realizzata in collaborazione con l’artista di calibro internazionale, Valeria Terranova. Oggi, dopo due anni dall’inizio, Seconda Base amplia la famiglia degli oggetti tecnologici e quella degli accessori con una serie di novità che vi presenteremo presto. Cominciamo con iWallett, un oggetto in vera pelle che vuole essere un mix tra portafoglio e portatelefono. Sul pellame di alta qualità viene realizzata un’impuntura sulla parte esterna per richiamare il motivo matelassé e, successivamente, una borchiatura nichel free. Dopo l’assemblaggio, è la volta della catena, che viene ultimata con un’intreccio di alcantara, e del packaging. Ogni singolo passaggio della costruzione è affidato alle mani esperte di artigiani italiani, il risultato è il vero segno di riconoscimento dei prodotti Seconda Base. Per lei e per lui, a distinguere le versioni è la catena da tasca in metallo simil argento. Che ne pensate :-)?
Some weeks ago, Matteo and I had the pleasure to be the protagonists of Seconda Base news look-book, a brand that we have always loved and of which we have told you many times. It was the year 2012 when with the pay-off “Vestire la tecnologia” (Dressing technology), the brand made its debut in the fashion world. The concept: creating a “tailor-made dress”, using professional varnish technology resistant to shock and scratching, to personalise computers, ear-phones, portable amplifiers and many other technological devices that are now part of our everyday life. Then it was time for iPhone and iPad covers, with sought-after details and 100% made in Italy, accessories which contributed to the establishment of the brand. A series of important partnerships, such as the one with international artist Valeria Terranova resulting in a capsule collection of 40 exclusive pieces. Today, only two years from the start of this fashion adventure, Seconda Base broadens the range of technological pieces and accessories with a new product which we will soon show you. Let’s start with the iWallett, an accessory, in pure leather, that is a mix between a mobile-case and a wallet. The top quality leather is decorated with an external stitching recalling a matelassé motif and a nickel-free stud application. Following assemblage, it’s time for the chain finished with an alcantara weaving and the packaging. Every single step of the manufacturing process is the work of expert Italian craftsmen and the result is the real quality mark characterising all products by Seconda Base.
