DI MATTEO MANZINI: L’ispirazione per la prossima collezione Kenzo è la California, surf, tanta sobrietà, volumi e tagli minimali che ricordano gli anni 90. Le stampe sono meno forti del passato, più concettuali quasi stilizzate. La famosa tigre viene sostituita dalle onde che ricordano i surfisti californiani. Pochi colori: l’azzurro aviatore, tanto bianco mescolato al crema e il blu la fa davvero da padrone, ad eccezione delle ultime uscite dove predomina il classico bianco e nero in color blocking abbinato a stampe geometriche e sofisticate. Una collezione casual, sportiva e rilassata… un vero inno a L.A.! Ovvio che da Kenzo il divertimento non può mancare e così l’ampia sala che ospita la sfilata, creata da Humberto Leon e Carol Lim, è sommersa da frutta che compone vere architetture psicadeliche!

BY MATTEO MANZINI: The inspiration for the next Kenzo collection is California, surfing, minimalist shapes and cuts that recall the nineties. Prints are less strong than in the past, more conceptual and stylized. The famous tiger has been replaced with waves evoking Californian surfers. Few colours: navy blue, white mixed with cream. Blue is the absolute protagonist, except for some pieces characterised by black and white in colour blocking and mixed with sophisticated geometrical patterns. A casual, sporty and easy-going collection…a real hymn to L.A! Obviously Kenzo couldn’t miss a bit off un so the location hosting the catwalk show, created by Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, is full of fruit designing psychedelic architectures!
