La gente mi chiamerà la Ragazza con la Sciarpa di Denny and George.” Così cominciarono i monologhi della protagonista di ” I love shopping”, quei monologhi che la resero famosa come la Ragazza con la Sciarpa verde e seppure io li condivida, tanto da dare a me stessa ancora oggi lo stesso tipo di giustificazioni ogni volta che faccio una spesa pazza, un bel giorno decisi che la spesa pazza non bastava più, che potevo fare di meglio…inventandomi qualcosa a cui nessuno aveva ancora pensato. Disegnai una borsa e mi dissi che volevo realizzarla ad ogni costo, per passione, per il puro piacere di creare qualcosa di favoloso! Il progetto fu così folle da non pormi neppure il problema della commerciabilità, per dirla tutta ero convinta che le gente impazzisse e fosse disposta a spendere qualsiasi cifra per quella borsa… invece non andò proprio così, ma in quell’oggetto ci ho sempre creduto e in cuor mio ho sempre sperato di vederla apparire su Vogue. C’è voluto un po’ di tempo, una passeggiata nel posto giusto e al momento giusto, ma sabato pomeriggio a Milano quello scatto Vogue lo ha fatto e ci sono riuscita! La Ragazza con la Borsa Rossa sono io… e i miei compagni di merende sono stati invece “pizzicati” a Pitti con gli accessori di Seconda Base. ” Il caso non esiste “, ” La classe non è acqua “, ” La fortuna è cieca ” e qualche volta ce la cantiamo e ce la suoniamo da soli ;-)!

People will call me the Girl with the Denny and George scarf. ” The monologues of the protagonist of ” Shopaholic” begin in this way, those monologues that made her famous as the Girl with the Green Scarf and even if I agree with them, so much that even today I give to myself the same type of justifications every time I go on a shopping spree, One day I decided that going on a shopping spree was not enough , I could do better … inventing something that no one had yet thought of. I designed a bag and I said to myself that I wanted to manifacture it at any cost, for passion, for the pure and simple pleasure of creating something wonderful! The project was so foolish that I didn’t even think about its marketability, to be honest I was convinced that the people would go crazy and would be ready to spend any amount of money for that bag … but it didn’t go exactly likethat, but I’ve always believed in that object and in my heart I’ve always hoped to see it appear on Vogue. It has taken a little time, a walk through the right place at the right time, but on Saturday afternoon in Milan Vogue took that picture and I succeded! I’m The Girl with the Red Bag… and my friends got instead caught at Pitti with Second Base accessories. “The fate doesn’t exist”….”Style will out” …. “Fortune is blind” and we sometimes do everything by ourselves ;-)!
