Fu proprio Salvatore Ferragamo nel 1959 a creare la prima PUMP di cristalli… la realizzò per Marilyn Monroe e per il suo film “Facciamo l’amore”. E fu proprio lui a battezzare la personalità di una celebrità per poi darne la sua interpretazione artistica attraverso la creazione di un accessorio che la rispecchiasse a pieno… questo modello fu solo un esempio di quanto la sua “diagnosi” fosse azzeccata. La scarpa a lei dedicata avrebbe seguito le sue orme, sarebbe passata alla storia, perché questo modello, tanto amato e tanto odiato, è diventato celebre…proprio quanto lei. Molto in voga negli anni ’90, è poi in caduta in disuso, ma oggi questa forma è nuovamente tornata ai nostri ai piedi… o, per meglio dire, noi siamo caduti ai suoi! Tutti la ripropongono, dai marchi più altisonanti a quelli più a buon mercato, un mix incomparable di sex appeal e gran classe.

In 1959, Salvatore Ferragamo designed the first crystal PUMPS…. He created them for Marilyn Monroe starring in the film “Let’s make love”.
