Di cosa stava discutendo Audrey Hepburn, seduta su quel tappeto, non lo sapremo mai, ma quel che è certo è che il telefono in bachelite era quello delle dive di Hollywood e qualcuno ha pensato di reinventare quel materiale in creazioni per le dive di oggi. Si chiama Clementina Coscera, ha poco più di trent’anni e i suoi gioielli sobri e colorati hanno nomi a cui non si può resistere. Ispirata dagli studi di Calder, dopo aver frequentato l’Accademia di Brera, inizia la sua avventura acquistando perline di bachelite degli anni ’50, per farne oggetti dal forte impatto visivo. Nella sua testa una bilancia immaginaria per dosare colore, forma e materiale che si mescolano fino ad ottenere un gioiello dal “peso ideale”… solo quando arriva l’emozione la creazione può dirsi completata. Dietro il nome di battesimo di ognuna c’è una storia, la cui trama nasce da un ricordo di bambina, destinato a durare nel tempo perché scolpito nella mente, che si mescola a visioni future dell’artista. Una sorta di proiezione di allora ai giorni di oggi… come la stessa bachelite che richiama oggetti del passato che ancora oggi esistono, anche se realizzati in materiali diversi. Le collezioni Les Cléms sono unicamente fatte a mano, customizzabili, in serie limitata, in pezzi unici e ora esposti al Museo della Triennale a Milano in via Alemagna. .

She is Clementina Coscera, she is thirty and her minimal and colourful jewels have Captivating and appealing names. She took her inspiration from Calder’s projects, she studied at the academy of arts in Brera, and she started her adventure with bakelite corals of the 50’s to create objects with A strong visual impact. In her head, there is an imaginary weighing balance to dose colours, shapes and materials that blend to create an “ideal weight” jewel… then the emotional touch completes the precious piece. Behind the name of every single piece there is a story, a reason, childhood memories destined to last over time, always present and vivid and merging with the future vision of the jewel artist. A sort of projection of the past to today…. Like bakelite itself recalling objects of the past that exist still today even if in different materials and shapes. Les Cléms collections are entirely hand-made, they can be personalised, produced in limited edition, unique works of art also on display at the Triennale Museum in Milan.
