Se la DreamWorks aveva l’obbiettivo di fare un film d’animazione per insegnarci che gli uomini hanno tanto da imparare dagli animali, beh, io credo che ci sia riuscita alla perfezione. Ogni bambino dovrebbe avere un cane? Allo stesso modo, ogni cane dovrebbe avere un bambino! Mr. Peabody, Premio Nobel, scienziato e inventore di una macchina del tempo chiamata “il torna indietro”, Sherman, volenteroso, attento, non troppo capace di capire le battute, il primo bambino nella storia ad essere adottato da un amico a quattro zampe e Penny, una bambina dal caratterino interessante, sono i personaggi principali di questo nuovo capolavoro animato. Una nuova versione di “Ritorno al Futuro”, in cui si rientra da viaggi nel passato conoscendo: Maria Antonietta, Robespierre, Tutankhamon, Leonardo da Vinci, Monna Lisa, Agamemmone, Ulisse, George Washington, Mahatma Gandhi, Abramo Lincoln, Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton…chi non vorrebbe avere un papà che può insegnare la storia in modo così interattivo? Ma in ogni favola o realtà che si rispetti qualcuno che mette il naso dove non dovrebbe (e questa volta non si parla del cane) c’è sempre…ma i nostri eroi riusciranno a spuntarla! Dal passato c’è sempre tanto da imparare, la discriminazione, in qualsiasi forma essa si manifesti, non porta ad altro che dolore e sofferenza e i sentimenti, anche se si conosce un linguaggio forbito, è sempre bene esprimerli come li detta il cuore, piuttosto che con un’ottima sintassi…e quando proprio non si riesce, anche scodinzolare va benissimo ;-)!
If the DreamWorks animation company had the objective of making a movie to teach us that men have to learn a lot from animals, well, I think they have made it. Should all children have a dog? In the same way, each dog should have a child! Mr. Peabody, a Nobel laureate scientist and the inventor of a time machine called “WABAC”, Sherman, strong-willing, careful and not really able to understand jokes, the first child on earth who is adopted by a dog and Penny, a girl with an interesting personality, are the main characters of this new animated masterpiece. A new version of “Back to the Future”, where you go back in time meeting figures such as Marie Antoinette, Mahatma Gandhi, Abraham Lincoln, Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton…who wouldn’t like to have a dad able to teach us history in such an interactive way? But in every fairy tale or real story there’s someone who stick their nose where they shouldn’t (this time I’m not talking about the dog)…but our heroes will win! There’s always much we can learn from the past and discrimination, in every form and nature, only brings pain and sufferance and feelings should always be expressed with our heart rather than with an educated language and refined manners…and in case you can’t talk, wagging tails will be good anyway ;-)!
