Non esistono più le mezze stagioni...

…Sopratutto mentalmente! Si dice che quando si chiude una porta si apre un portone, ma quando arriva settembre questa regola non vale più! L’estate è agli sgoccioli? E allora è vero il contrario, chiudiamo il portone della bella stagione, magari sbattendolo insoddisfatti, e, come quando si guarda un film horror, con lo spirito da “Non aprite quella porta“, ci avventuriamo in quello che verrà. Forse avremo dimenticato l’incubo della prova costume: “Dio perdona, il bikini no“, ma quando le vacanze finiscono ce ne sono molti altri in agguato. La sveglia alle sette del mattino può non definirsi un incubo? L’inizio della scuola? Eccome! Per non parlare di quando il lavoro ricomincia a pieno ritmo e vorremmo avere a disposizione una giornata di 40 ore per incastrare tutto! Nel momento esatto in cui si preparano i bagagli per il rientro, pensiamo sempre che presto metteremo i cappotti, i maglioni, i capi pesanti, non ci soffermiamo mai su quelli della “mezza stagione”, forse perché sono gli stessi che abbiamo indossato quando pensavamo all’estate e il “bello” doveva ancora venire, ma ormai è passato e mentalmente non ci servono più! Via il dente, via il dolore, se anche l’estate sta andando in vacanza e il sole non riuscirà più a scaldarci, allora che a farlo sia proprio un cappotto!

We have no in-between seasons anymore …Mainly in our mind! There’s another saying “when a door closes, another door opens” but when September comes, this rule is of no use at all! Summer has come to an end!? This means that unluckily we have to close, or better shut, the door of the good season, and with the same mood of a horror film of the kind “don’t open that door”, we embark on what it will be. Perhaps we‘ve forgotten the bikini trial nightmare: “God forgives, bikinis don’t”, but when holidays are over, other nightmares will soon come. Isn’t the alarm clock at seven a.m. a nightmare? The school starting? Yes! And what about the frantic working routine and we would like to have a 40 hour long day to be able to do everything we should! In the exact moment when you’re packing things to come back home, we always think that we’ll soon wear coats, jumpers, heavy clothes, we never think of “in-between” pieces…maybe because they are those we wore when “the better” still had to come and now, we don’t need them anymore! Rid the cause, rid the problem, if summer is going on holiday and the sun will no longer make us warm, we’d better have a coat to do that! Come on, a year is quick and those, like me, who are “constant nostalgic” could indulge in the preview of next spring summer collections that will be showcased during fashion weeks…the New York one has already started :-)!
