Se nessuno te lo ha mai detto, lo faccio io. Se pensi d’impiegare tanto, troppo tempo per decidere cosa indossare ogni volta che devi uscire, non è perché sei solo indeciso, ma è perché sei seriamente consapevole che una volta fuori di casa, non puoi tornare indietro e le persone ti giudicheranno per quello che hai scelto di metterti. E non parlo di quelle con cui puoi concederti il lusso di essere te stesso, ma di tutte le altre. Della bellezza interiore non frega niente a nessuno, vieni giudicato in base all’apparenza e anche se, spesso e volentieri, inganna, nella società in cui vivi, conta di più apparire che essere o, per meglio dire, è più importante non avere l’aria di ciò che sei davvero. Per riuscirci non ti serve altro che un sarcofago dalla facciata imponente in cui entrare per nascondere un’anima come tutte le altre che aspetta l’aldilà. Detto in modo più semplice: un abito che faccia il monaco. La cosa giusta, al momento giusto, che sappia essere distinta, ma al tempo stesso audace, che sappia mantenere le distanze, senza farti passare inosservato, che faccia le presentazioni al posto tuo senza stringere la mano, ma con grande disinvoltura. Per scegliere “quella” cosa giusta, puoi impiegarci una vita, ma niente è come sembra, devi convincere, devi ingannare, devi scegliere qualcosa che ti tra-vesta alla perfezione e magari è proprio una borsa che sa vestirti meglio di una giacca…
