Non solo a Coco piaceva dare versione fantasiose di fatti realmente accaduti, Karl Lagerfeld la segue a ruota e con Reincarnation, la sua nuova creazione cinematografica, racconta come nacque la giacca iconica di Chanel. E’ il 1954 quando Mademoiselle, durante una vacanza in Austria, viene colpita dall’uniforme di un dipendente dell’albergo in cui soggiorna e la storia ha inizio. Il cast, anche questa volta, è d’eccezione e vede protagonisti Pharrell Williams e Cara Delevingne in un cortometraggio di 7 minuti accompagnato da una canzone, scritta e cantata dagli interpreti stessi, dal titolo: “CC The World“. Una melodia romantica, fuori dal tempo che usa volutamente un gioco di parole tra l’iconica doppia C di Chanel e la storia d’amore che vuole essere narrata tra imperatore d’Austria Francesco Giuseppe I e sua moglie, l’imperatrice Elisabetta “Sisi”. Dopo la mezzanotte, il fattorino e la cameriera si trasformano nei reali austriaci e si esibiscono in una danza sognante. La mattina tutto torna alla realtà e Coco Chanel, interpretata da Geraldine Chaplin, uscendo dall’ascensore nota la giacca del valletto che l’aspetta all’uscita. Sarà davvero andata così?
