Sono elettrizzato da questa nuova collaborazione tra il colosso svedese e Consuelo Castiglioni, per almeno due ragioni…Marni con il suo senso estetico molto intellettuale e le sue stampe così eleganti ha dato un nuovo senso allo stile di H&M e perché dietro la cinepresa per il video della pubblicità c’era Sofia Coppola. Il cortometraggio è stato girato a Marrakech in una villa dove la stessa regista era stata in vacanza con amici anni fa e la protagonista è l’attrice inglese Imogen Poots, che avevano già visto in Jane Eyre e come volto del profumo di Chloè. Il commercial è la quinta essenza di un party molto hype, che inizia col sole alto nel cielo e termina a notte fonda, in cui l’unico filo conduttore e l’amore…Amore per la moda o amore per la vita? Forse entrambi…e sicuramente amore per ciò che è bello… come i magnifici attori, tra cui la super- model Liu Wen, che recitano sulla colonna sonora Avalon di Bryan Ferry, parte della storia di tutti noi…che da un senso di avvolgente piacere e sottolinea il sapore di una collezione da vera cool-girl! Non ci rimane che aspettare l’8 marzo…
BY MATTEO MANZINI Here’s a preview of a few images from the look-book of this super exclusive editorial for Vogue Russia and the commercial backstage of Marni for H&M. I am totally thrilled by this new partnership between the Swedish colossal and Consuelo Castiglioni, and I have two good reasons for it…first, Marni with his highly intellectual aesthetic flair and unusually elegant prints has given a fresh new meaning to H&M style second, because Sofia Coppola filmed the video ad for the campaign. The short movie was filmed in a villa in Marrakech a location where the director herself was on holydays with friends some time ago starring the British actress Imogen Poots, famous for her role as Jane Eyre in the homonymous film and because she modelled for Chloe’s perfume ads. The commercial is the quintessence of a true hype party, beginning with the sun shining high in the sky and ending after nightfall, and where the only leitmotif is love…Love for fashion or love for life? Maybe both…and definitely love for beauties… like those magic actors, among whom the super- model Liu Wen, acting on the soundtrack Avalon by Bryan Ferry, a piece of everyone’s history…which gives a feel of draping pleasure bringing out the taste of a truly cool-girl collection! We can only wait till March 8 …
