Ognuna di noi, almeno una volta nella vita, ha immaginato di assomigliare a qualcuna di loro… un po’ per caratteristiche fisiche, un po’ per questione di carattere e un po’ perché a carnevale vestirsi da principessa è un evergreen! Vittime dei cattivi della favola, riescono sempre a spuntarla, bellezza, fortuna, intraprendenza? Forse tutte le cose…ma cosa invidiamo a questi personaggi femminili? A BIANCANEVE la pelle bianca come la neve, senza imperfezioni cutanee, senza macchie solari, senza rughe, le labbra rosse e carnose, naturali senza rossetto e iniezioni di filler, i capelli neri come l’ebano, che non hanno bisogno di tinta una volta al mese per coprire i bianchi. A CENERENTOLA sicuramente invidiamo le scarpette, sopratutto perché ora non sono solo finzione, Christian Louboutin le ha costruite davvero e non in cristallo, che dovevano essere alquanto scomode, ma in pizzo e cristalli. AURORA non aveva una sola fata pronta a realizzarle l’abito perfetto per l’evento importante, ma addirittura tre, certo un po’ indecise sul colore, ma comunque operative! ARIEL con un fisico da…sirena…e una voce con l’X Factor. Poi BELLE, di nome e di fatto, colta, intelligente, altruista e capace di vedere il suo principe anche dentro un corpo di Bestia. JASMINE che non ha avuto paura di fidarsi di uno sconosciuto su un tappeto volante e salendoci sopra è riuscita a coronare il suo sogno da mille e una notte. MULAN è la testimone del raggiungimento delle pari opportunità tra uomo e donna, rappresenta la determinazione e la buona volontà, caratteristiche fondamentali per sopravvivere ai giorni nostri, perché qualche unno che minaccia la nostra “muraglia cinese” lo incontriamo sempre. Di RAPUNZEL adoriamo il suo modo di trasformare la padella da strumento “costruttivo” a “distruttivo”, amiamo il suo relazionarsi coi cavalli e la sua extension insuperabile. Ma anche se alle favole non crediamo più, c’è una cosa che tutte le principesse hanno in comune e che tutte noi gli invidiamo: il principe azzurro! Quella figura mistica che cerchiamo da anni, con scarsi risultati, quella persona di sesso maschile che ci faccia vivere per sempre felici e contente… quell’entità di cui continuiamo a chiederci se esiste oppure no e se esiste in che forma si rappresenta? E Azzurro è davvero azzurro o lo preferiamo di un altro colore? Poi, deve essere per forza bello o abbiamo solo bisogno di un uomo piacevole che ci capisca e che ci faccia ridere? Forse è proprio come quello di TIANA, ne “La principessa e il ranocchio”; quante “apprendiste” principesse sono disposte a baciare un rospo, in cambio di amore e tranquillità economica? Certo non sarà bello, ma per coronare un sogno si può anche scendere a compromessi. Per par condicio vorrei citarvi, infine, la principessa Fiona, che per il grande amore è scesa dal trono, ha gettato lo scettro, ha rinunciato a bellezza e a palazzi fastosi per vivere con il suo orco del cuore in una tetra casetta in mezzo alla palude. Morale della favola? Al cuor non si comanda! Amo pensare che ognuna di noi ha un principe che l’aspetta, che vaga nel reame cercandoci e quando ci troverà…sapremo riconoscerlo, qualsiasi sia l’incantesimo dietro cui si nasconde.

MULAN, bearing witness to equal rights for men and women, she represents strong will and determination, the basic characteristics to be able to survive in today’s world, as there’s always someone there to menace our “Chinese wall”. RAPUNZEL, we adore her way to transform a pan from a “constructive” to a “destructive” tool, her special relationship with horses and of course her unrivalled hair extensions. And even if we don’t believe in fairy-tales, There is one thing we envy of these princesses: their prince charming! That mystic figure that we have always been looking for, with scarce results, that man able to make us live happily ever after… An entity of whom we still ignore the existence, and if he exists, in which form does he appear? Does he really need to wear light-blue dresses or do we prefer another colour? Does he have to be handsome or do we need a man able to understand our needs and make us feel at ease?
