 Tra i miei propositi per il nuovo anno c’era anche quello di affrontare la mia paura di volare… e per quanto il mio inconscio tenti di rimuovere questa “buonissima” idea, i fatti dimostrano il contrario, tant’è che sabato mattina ho cominciato a prendere un po’ di confidenza col mezzo… che proprio un aeroplano non è, ma la somiglianza è notevole! Si chiama ultralleggero e appartiene alla famiglia degli elicotteri per intenderci, ha due posti e la cosa più carina che ha fatto per me è stata quella di rimanere incollato al suolo…almeno questa volta! E anche se il volo non era necessario, trovare un outfit a tema era il minimo che potessi fare… ho pensato di documentarmi e di prendere spunto da Amelia Earhart, altrimenti detta Lady Lindy, la prima donna che attraversò l’Atlantico, la prima donna a volare attraverso gli Stati Uniti senza scalo, la prima donna che tentò di fare il giro del mondo in aereo… e anche se quel tentativo non andò affatto bene perché la morte ancora oggi rimane un mistero, a me serviva una mise adatta e lei era l’esempio migliore che potessi scegliere. Giacca di pelle, stivali stringati, pantaloni militari, occhiali da Top Gun, borsa multicolor per dare allegria e, invece delle solite piastrine, ciondoli di Sliding Adjuster di cui mi sono innamorata. Insomma non ho chiesto nessuna autorizzazione per un volo radente, non ho fatto nessuna “barba alla torre”, ma mi sono divertita a simulare il mio volo perfetto…da terra… facendo alcuni scatti divertenti che vi posto oggi. One of my good intentions for the new year was that of finally facing my fear of flying… and no matter how hard my unconscious was trying to remove the “very good” idea, facts worked the other way round, since Saturday morning, I had the chance to start finding my way around the “vehicle”… which was not a real airplane, really close to one tough! It is called ultra-light and belongs to the helicopters family, it has two seats and the nicest thing this aircraft did for me was that of staying stuck to the ground…well this time anyway! And even though the flight was not really necessary, the least I could do was to find the right flying outfit… I decided to collect information and take my cue from Amelia Earhart, otherwise known as Lady Lindy, the first woman who overflew the Atlantic ocean, the first woman who flew non-stop through the United States, the first to attempt an around-the-world flight… and even if she was unsuccessful and mystery over her disappearance still continues to this day, I needed the right outfit and she was the very best model for the purpose. Leather jacket, lace-up boots, army trousers, Top Gun glasses, multicolour “cheer-up” handbag and, instead of the same old metal tags , the Sliding Adjuster pendants I have recently fallen in love with The fact is I didn’t ask for any permission for a low grazing flight, neither I buzzed the tower… but I really had great fun simulating the perfect flight…from the ground… taking a few amusing shots I am posting today.
